I saw a whole lot of spam in my inbox recently that contained links to images on imageshack.us

Now it just so happens that the good guys at imageshack don't appreciate this rampant abuse of their terms of service, especially from criminals, scammers, and other examples of society's detritus. But instead of getting mad, they decided to get even.

They could have replaced the images with one of those boring images containing words like
"This image has been removed for breach of our terms of service"

Instead, the imageshack team have taken a bold step, and informed the general public what to expect from the spam that touts fake pharmacies.

Over the past few hours, hundreds of replaced images have been spammed, for example

The name format has changed, but the effect is the same. A spammed public service announcement revealing the stupidity of spammers.

I just can't believe how oblivious this guy is. He can't be getting many sales. You would think his affiliate program would be concerned about the images linking to their sites, and all the publicity for the spamwiki. He'll be trending on Twitter soon at this rate.

The penny must have dropped inside the spammer's tiny head. The run of self-defeating spams using imageshack.us suddenly stopped on Feb 15 at 10:00 hours EST. Here are a few of the last that fell into the FAIL basket
