Yesterday I received an email with the strange title: "All that we are ..."

I'm used to get boring spam, unreadable spam, absurd spam,
but this is rather a new kind: inscrutable spam.
Reading the mail didn't make me any wiser:

"All that we are is the result of what we have thought.
The mind is everything. What we think we become."

I googled the expression, and discovered that it was a quote from Buddha.
What the H*** are they trying to sell? I'm utterly clueless,
but perhaps it is just "all in my mind"...

Perhaps Budduh is harvesting email addresses or preening his spam distribution list: Someone sends spam and then removes all the email addresses that "bounce" from the distribution list. The resulting list has a higher sales value on the black market for such things.

Sometimes web beacons will be concealed in the email, allowing the spammer to associate each recipient's IP address with the email address.

Yes, it could be something like that. However, I can't recall when I last got such a mysterious mail.
My mail address has been the same for years, and always public, deliberately.
So checking if it's active isn't necessary at all in my case...

In any case, spamming people that hates spam is really not the most clever thing to do.
Maybe "The mind is everything", but some spammers are rather "out of their mind"... ;-)

I can understand that people want protection from poison, but do they also need protection from "business success"..?

And I'm not sure of what this really offers: "spiritual cash loan"..?

But, I guess I should calm down, I mean, all these offers include "no side effect, no blood shed."

Quite "intertaining" mail, indeed... ;-)

I can kind of guess what "wick erection" was supposed to mean, though the image of a length of unwaxed candle wicking cord will stick with me now. (And they don't seem to say which of those conditions they will deliver for you and which they will deliver you from. )

But what was "bariness" trying to say. Nudity? Becoming a lawyer? Becoming a baroness? "Hairiness" (growing more hair ... or getting a wax job)? Infertility (barreness)?

Too bad their deities can't deliver their devotees from spaminess.
