Denial of service attack against WOT:

It appears that anyone who clicked on a particular ad on another site initiated a very extensive search on WOT's database. They had to disable their search function.

wow, big news for sure. Some spammers are angry, I would guess.

All sorts of people have grudges against WOT.

Having no idea what is behind any DoS attack, I'll make wild guesses anyhow. My #1 wild guess is that it has something to do with this

#1 has too much to lose if caught.

#2 is immature enough to do it, but if you've got the resources to conduct a DoS, why host a forum you've worked on so much with a free hosting site that can shut you down whenever they want?

I was thinking of pharma or fake AV; we've been leaning on them pretty hard and scored some kills recently
